Valentine’s Day is here and our furry companions deserve special V-Day goodies today, too! So what better time than now to make a batch of these Pet-Friendly Raspberry Hearts Valentine’s Treats?
These treats are grain-free, gluten-free and dairy-free, making them an excellent hypoallergenic treat for your dog or cat. The berries make these cookies extra festive for Valentine’s Day – and extra healthy!

Show your dog or cat how much you love them with these healthy and flavorful Pet-Friendly Raspberry Hearts Valentine’s Treats!
Recipe: Pet-Friendly Raspberry Hearts Valentine’s Treats
Makes: 50 small heart shaped cookies
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup coconut flour
• 1 large egg (if intolerant use 1 flax egg [1 Tbsp. ground flaxseeds + 3 Tbsp. warm water])
• ½ cup frozen raspberries, chopped
• 4 Tbsp. chopped cranberries
• 4 Tbsp. applesauce (be sure to use unsweetened with no added ingredients)
• 4 Tbsp. water
Directions:
1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Next, add the coconut flour to a mixing bowl and make a flax egg (if using) with 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseeds and 3 Tbsp. of warm water. Allow the flax egg to sit for 10 minutes and then add to the coconut flour. If using a regular egg, mix and add that to the coconut flour instead.
3. Add the applesauce and water. Stir to combine.
4. Add the chopped raspberries and cranberries. Stir well.
5. Transfer the dough to a large sheet of additional parchment paper and flatten the dough to be roughly 1 inch thick. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out 50 small heart shaped cookies.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly brown.
7. Store in a sealed container.
